Mary Magdalene – The Way of the Rose
The Rosary is an ancient devotional item, originally made as flower garlands, representing a connection between the spiritual and the earthly, serving as a tool for mindfulness and spiritual balance. Rosaries have been made out of seeds, wood and stones, today we use beads. Spirit of Knockmany Rosaries are made following a traditional design with my unique interpretation. Crafted to embody deep spirituality and to reflect sacredness, each element I choose, from colours, materials, natural crystals and symbolic charms, are chosen to create a divine atmosphere prompting you to use them often. Please note that I have not made them to be worn as a necklace, but rather to be held in prayer, meditation and contemplation.
The rose has long been revered as a symbol of the sacred feminine. The “Way of the Rose", in connection with Mary Magdalene, refers to a spiritual path emphasizing the divine feminine, particularly through the symbolism of the rose and its association with Mary Magdalene. The delicate petals, vibrant colours, and sweet fragrance of the Rose reflect its beauty, love, and grace, while its thorns remind us of the need for boundaries and protection. Throughout history, the rose has been associated with goddesses and divine figures like Isis, Hathor, Mother Mary, as well as Mary Magdalene, priestesses who embody wisdom, strength, and compassion. This path draws from these various traditions, including ancient Egyptian and Celtic lore. The path centres around practices like prayer, meditation, and embodiment of feminine wisdom, as a way to connect with the sacred feminine to find healing and initiate one's transformation.
Rose Quartz brings the Light! I have used the Beautiful Rose Quartz as the main inspiration of this Divine Famine Rosary with a beautiful Craved Rose in Rose Quartz. The crystal of unconditional love and infinite peace, said to purify the heart at all levels and is believed to bring deep inner healing and self-love, which in turn draws loving relationships toward you. I have also chosen to include a few Rhodchrosite crystals for their wonderful pink energy. Rhodochrosite is a powerful stone of love, compassion, and emotional healing, often called the "Inca Rose" or "Stone of the Compassionate Heart". It represents unconditional love, self-forgiveness, and nurturing, helping to heal past trauma and inner child wounds while promoting joy and emotional maturity.
Spiritually, pink represents unconditional love, compassion, kindness, and inner peace. It is associated with the Heart Chakra which acts as a bridge between physical and spiritual energy, signifying a balance between the material and spiritual worlds. Pink also symbolizes friendship, harmony, and self-love.
The Rosary beads will be supplied with a pouch for safe keeping and a printout of my thoughts and feelings on this Rosary and the elements chosen. However, do remember, this is my interpretation
