Mary Magdalene - ‘The white Rose’
In mystical and esoteric traditions, Mary Magdalene is strongly associated with the white rose, which symbolizes the divine sacred feminine, purity, and the "way of the rose" lineage. She is often depicted as a holder of ancient wisdom, with the rose representing her connection to Venusian, non-dual teachings and the "rose priestess" lineage of the Divine Feminine.
Spirit of Knockmany Rosaries are made following a traditional design with my unique interpretation. The Rosary is an ancient devotional item, originally made as flower garlands, representing a connection between the spiritual and the earthly, serving as a tool for mindfulness and spiritual balance. Rosaries have been made out of seeds, wood and stones, today we use beads. Divine Feminine rosaries are specialized, often non-traditional prayer beads designed to honour feminine divinity, archetypes, and goddesses, blending spiritual devotion with, for instance crystals such as rose quartz, amethyst, obsidian, etc., coloured glass metal and/or other symbolic elements. They function as tools for meditation, intention setting, and connecting with, for example, Mary Magdalene, Venus, Isis, or the Gaia Earth Mother. Furthermore the rose has long been revered as an emblem of the sacred feminine, and Mary Magdalene in particular, representing purity, initiation, remembrance and, in our age, the rising of Divine Feminine wisdom. The rose, especially the white rose, signifies innocence, purity, and love, and the path back to one's true, creative essence, a concept central to modern spiritual practices, while embodying ancient, sacred feminine wisdom and Gnosis (direct spiritual knowing).
For this Rosary I have used as the focal point a lovely Rose motif hand carved from mother of pearl, it has a lovely warm white light. While Mother of pearl is not technically a crystal, it contains layers of crystalline structures and is classified as an organic gemstone, often associated with the divine feminine energy, nurturing the soul and promoting inner peace, therefore perfect for this piece. Moreover, many metaphysical practitioners believe that Mother of Pearl can enhance intuition, promote spiritual growth, and protect against negative energies, its calming, moon-like glow connects it to emotional balance, protection, and nurturing inner wisdom and spiritual growth, fostering clarity and harmony. Simply Divine.
The main body of the piece is in White glass pearls, spiritually, pearls symbolize wisdom and are said to represent the soul's journey toward enlightenment, white pearls bring inner peace and symbolize innocence, purity and new beginnings. White pearls are associated with the moon and her ability to enhance the state of inner calm promoting emotional balance, helping the wearer to overcome obstacles with grace and tranquillity. I have added touches of silver tone metal, primarily to augment lunar energy, strengthen intuition and support feminine power. As a "mirror to the soul," it is used to enhance emotional intelligence, psychic receptivity, and protection against negative energies. It is commonly associated with calm, reflection, and spiritual balance. With one focal Crystal-Clear Lead Crystal bead, which is said to he a powerful conduit for light, clarity and positivity.
Please note that I have not made them to be worn as a necklace, but rather to be held. I will occasionally make a longer version, therefore do check the measurements in description before ordering. Included with the Rosary beads is a pouch for safe keeping and a printout of my thoughts and feelings on the piece, the elements chosen etc. However, do remember, this is my interpretation
