The Rosary is an ancient devotional item, originally made as flower garlands, representing a connection between the spiritual and the earthly realms, serving as a tool for mindfulness and spiritual balance. Rosaries can be made from flowers, seeds, wood, stones, crystals and beads.
Spirit of Knockmany rosaries are made following a traditional design with my unique interpretation, crafted to embody deep spirituality and to reflect sacredness, they are specialized prayer beads intended to honour feminine divinity, blending spiritual devotion with for instance, crystals, such as rose quartz, amethyst, obsidian, etc., coloured glass, metal and/or other symbolic elements.
For this unique piece I have used as my focal point a beautiful Heart motif in Rose Quartz, symbolic of unconditional love for the Self, something which I feel we need to practice more of today. For the main body of the design, I have chosen beautiful white Mother of Pearl, it exudes a lovely warm white light, I have also incorporated two little hearts and a lovely hand carved rose, also in Mother of Pearl, interspersed with tiny white glass pearl beads. I have evoked the energy of the Divine Mother further by adding beads in Blue Onyx, a truly beautiful shade of blue.
While Mother of pearl is not technically a crystal, it contains layers of crystalline structures and is classified as an organic gemstone, often associated with the divine feminine energy, nurturing of the soul and promoting inner peace, therefore perfect for this piece. Moreover, many metaphysical practitioners believe that Mother of Pearl can enhance intuition, promote spiritual growth, and protect against negative energies, its calming, moon-like glow connects it to emotional balance, protection, and nurturing inner wisdom and spiritual growth, fostering clarity and harmony.
Rose Quartz carries a gentle, nurturing energy, promoting self-love, emotional healing, and deep compassion. Primarily connected to the Heart Chakra, it is also believed to stimulate the Crown Chakra, connecting you to divine, universal love and angelic guidance and brings a deep sense of peace to the user.
Blue onyx is a powerful spiritual stone that symbolizes inner peace, emotional balance, believed to bring balance to the body and mind, it relates directly to our communication centre, the throat, helping us to speak wise words.
Touches of gold and brass add interest and vitality to this piece/design. This fusion creates a stunning piece of sacred jewellery. Simply Divine!
The components used are chosen to create a divine atmosphere, prompting you to use them often. They function as tools for prayer, meditation and contemplation, intention setting, and connecting with oneself, goddess archetypes, for example, Divine Mother, The Queen of Heaven, Mary Magdalene, Venus, Isis, or Gaia - Earth Mother etc.
